Tsunami Relief

Hardy’s offshore platform is about 18 kms offshore from the coast devastated by the 2004 Tsunami. Being in open seas the rig was not affected, but the fishermen communities along the coast were battered.

In its aftermath, Hardy is assisting local communities restore their livelihoods by donating:

  • Engine diesel for 210 fishing boats in the village of Pazhayar, Tamil Nadu.
  • Fibreglass boats to a fishing community in Nizampatnam, Andhra Pradesh, through Rotary International

Hardy has also contributed to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, towards the monumental task of rehabilitation and restoration of infrastructure.
